“Hope We Get It Right : This Time”

Nigeria as a nation and we as people! I sincerely  hope that  this time around, we’ll get it Right. A country  blessed with human and material resource.

Human resource is the most critical factor that the system must nurture to productivity. The focus on that factor must be right from elementary stage to self sufficiency in capacity building to meet our needs. It’s then we can say we have come of age.

“Long Way To Sustainable Change”

This is a hard road to travel. Sustainable change are being fought left and right by the selfish ones who think nigeria is their own to do as they like.

The opposition knows the likely effect of President Buhari likely success in infrastructural and other areas of development, will make them look stupid. For what their party, unable to achieve for such a long time of their party in government. And President Buhari and his ruling party just achieve it with  less time will turn Nigeria against them.

They ganged up to put clog in the wheel of national progress. Their total agenda is in the open and Nigerians commited to progress will resist it.

“No Structure:No Substance”

IoIn our national life, many people just want to make it. Make money witiohout being ready for the work, commitment, patient ,perseverance etc, that it takes to get wealth. They want it in a jiffy. Overnight or now now wealth,

Some are not even interested in any legitimate means. They can go diabolic just to get wealth.

Politics is readily another means of making easy money. There was a popular terminology….”let’s share the cake”.

All what you need to do is “do or die” to get appointed or elected. And pronto! You’re swimming in money.

All these are changing with the new political reality on the ground. No more free money flowing anywhere.

We would now begin to see, building of long lasting structures for sustainable development.

“Three Months To The Election”

We are almost there even if what is seen of our nation today is not quite promising. Sentiments apart, we have come to a point to decide and determine where we are going as a nation.

Today, everything looked uncertain about the path that things will take politically and economilly . The only thing that matter is power to them but the only thing that matter to us the populace is for the country to get its bearing.

Many people I have interviewed feel like the time, February 2015 fast forwarded for it to be put behind. Talking about corruption and desperation, it’s quite obvious. But the fact of the matter is, everyone should be ready to work hard for the expected change.

In life nothing comes easy, if it does. It would not stand the test of time. We must brace up and be determine to create a new national experience and pathway to genuine development.

We have been lied to for too long. Politician squander our money, make life too unbearable fo so many. Yet at such time as this when election is knocking, they bring, come in pretence with small, small things like food and wrapper in exchange for vote.

They have been doing it over the years. Should we allow that to continue. The one you took over the past years did not lead anybody anywhere.

We have come to the time when you can use that voter’s card to turn around your life and that of your incoming generation.

Many times people ask me. Who are the people to bring the change? My answer is Nigerians should begin to look at track record of perfomance to know who that will bring the change. Afterall we would not import leaders from somewhere else.

Let power change hands, most especiallly at the center. There shouldn’t be any centiments about that. The good of the nation is the good of all irrespective of where you come from. Unless you don’t want a successful country. Then maintain the status quo.

It take one man to path a new course for a common good. With truth and genuine commitment for positive and desirable turnarount that would be for all not for few.
We couldn’t say the country lack such man out of almost 200 million people. Nigerian should not be satisfied with a political party ruling for time longer that necesary afterall there are two sides to a coin. Cast your vote and make it count. You will need to wait for another four years to have another opportunity.

“Leaders and Followers”

Success of a nation is also success of citizenry. We may not need to go too far, the United Arab Emirate of today was conceived by men who saw and knew the big picture. Today we all can see what the oil money can do to make that dream a reality.

In Nigeria, we hadly give those that had done their home work well the opportunity to tackle governance with sincererity of purpose, chance to deliever the common largesse. Instead, we frustrate them because of sectional and selfish interest. The northern part of Nigeria leaders are now at the receiving end of what they started. Their post independent leaders did everything to raise new generation of leaders.

These new leaders were not nationalistic and they lack developmental drive that could create a new nation. They wanted power for the power sake, that benefit none other than themselves. At the national level where politics supposed to be tranformational, and the stake wider. It had been a closed-up business and it still is till date even when power has moved around on few occasions as it is presently. Nothing has changed.

The followers, up north suffered so much in their leader’s hand and we all know the result today.

Today, there are pocket of transformation here and there, but the most important transformation is building human capacity in line with the need of the society with sincererity for a better nation which we will all be proud of. And that start with the leadership. But if they continue the way they are! One day, people will rise up against them and it won’t be funny.

Insurgency in any part of Nigeria shouldn’t have been taken lightly.
We need to be decisive. We need competence, we need a responsive leadership who are proactive and prompt in taking right decision at all time.
