“Power Is Transient”

President Mohammadu Buhari with his team during state visit to USA.

In democracy, political power ascendency is through ballot system. And bearing in mind that power can change hand from time to time, must prepare any stakeholder to know that at the end of every tenure. Questions must be asked and account of stewardship rendered.

There had been lack of merit and sincerity at the way politician had been going about it. The act of godfatherism created load of improper act among the stakeholders.

That’s why the desperation to put a stooge in place through manipulation of electoral processes making it to be do or die affairs. This encourage lots of cover up and makes the whole thing muddy. No wonder they always make refrence of “muddy water of politics” why do we not have “clean water of politic?” The answer is simply CORRUPTION.

Can or must it continue forever? NO. Because the end to it has come. So many things that had been kept under shade over time must come to open. “Everyday for the thieves ” but the owner’s day has come.
Those who comes under hammer and is not guilty of anything will come out of it stronger.

The general gain at the end of the day is that people will be careful and curious about who they put to manage the affairs of the state on their behalf and those that found themselves in the mantle of leadership will restrain from all form of recklessness because they must know for sure that the judgement day is near.

“How To Industrialise Nigeria”

Moving around Nigeria has opened my eyes to different sentiment and seriousness of leadership in various places I have lived. One undisputed fact is that unemployment is very high in Nigeria. How do we create job to keep our youth engaged?

Our education system make employee out of anyone that passes through it instead of breeding entrepreneur. National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has two to three batches of legion of corper coming into labour market. Greater number of which has no guarrantee of securing job.

Internet has created ample enterpreneurship opportunities but yet to be tapped into by the majority of our youth who thinks internet is just to socialize.

Gone are the days when we have technical schools. We hear of public and private partnership policy that only consider large scale industries many of which have closed down. The policy seem to have completely neglected the partnership with small scale concerns.

The small scale industries is the bedrock of industrialization in a developing economy like ours. The federal government need to get it right that small scale is the greater option of industrialising Nigeria. Small and Medium industries, SMI have capacity to create job in any economy.

Many nigerians doesn’t have patience of going through productive ventures. So they resolved to buying and selling. Nigeria enviroment is naturally difficult to making success out of productive ventures, everyone looks out for the quickest way to requip the return on investment. For several years now large scale industries have continue to close down. Examples are Dunlop Tyres, Michelin Tyres and pocket of textile industries in the far north.

When we talk about empowement, politiicisation and greed had made nonsense of the policy.  As it’s used to be! A young man or woman is enrolled as an apprentice for six month or a year, after which a machine or two, a small generator and some other small items like scissors etc are provided to the trainee graduate. But many times , in a short while, those things are sold out. The reasons for that are many, among, eagerness to make quick money, the knowledge is for service, not for manufacturing, half of the fund for such empowerment would have been embezelled.

What do we need to do?
Government should now focus on those who have put sustantial time to their vocation. Probably create a bureau or a center. Those who have put ten or more years in their vocation should be asked to bring what they have on the table.

After thorough examination, such people should be given adequate assistance in finance and marketing and to aid their gradual expansion from one level to the other.

“Small, Small Politics”

All sort of child play is now prominent in Nigeria politics as we approach 28th march, 2015 new date forPresidential and National Assembly  Elections.

There was a court judgement that granted a new party. Youth Democtratic Party, YDP participation in 2015 general election, barely few weeks to the new date of the election.

The party had been insisting that INEC must include them in voter’s card because they are ready to participate in the election by printing new voters card between now and 28th March date or postpone the election again.

The question is where were they, all along before now. And why it has to be now that their demand was granted by the court of law?

Most of all other parties presence outside the ruling party and the main opposition party  are not seen or felt including this YDP. They are all to spoil the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC credibility if the tide is against the ruling party.

Nigerian are taken for granted by this unneccessary and diverssionary antics that are at play. All these will diminish the little respect the ruling class has left.

“The Beautiful Ones:Yet To Be Here”

To say the situation is tensed is an understatement, I couldn’t believe so many things that are happening.

There would be no electricity for days, now it’s fuel scarcity, the value of dollar against naira keep increasing. Food price on the increase. Everything seems to be working in negativity.

And you begin to see branded clothing, bags of rice, bags of fertilizer, vegetable oil, satchet of salt etc, carrying the picture of the President distributed to hungry crowd.

This is not the way to empower people. But a cheat on the people. Above all, truth is becoming very scarce, likewise discipline.

I know for sure, where there is no discipline, there is no progress. There are scarcity of wisemen among those that administer affair of the nation presently.

Their wisdom make them very rich at the expense of the people. And they don’t give a damn, afterall what can the people do about it? Nothing it seems. They even believe the bolt and nut of the election is in their hand.

But “all days for the thieves but one day for the owner”
