“Weekly Photo Challenge: Optimistic/SAED”

Nigeria is in a critical situation, but we are optimistic of coming out of it. One thing that is lacking is the ability to engage our youth. Empower them with skill acquisition through well grounded training, after which soft loan and grants must be made available for start ups.

SAED( skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development.) An arm of NYSC (National Youth Service Corps). The issue at hand is beyond NYSC now. It is the responsibility of the federal government of Nigeria to upgrade the facilities at all Orientation Camps to make it conducive.

The program should embrace youth development at large.

Running from Iganmu by National Theater (where Festac ’77 was held) to Badagry in Lagos State. Massive project started by the previous goverment of the ex gov. Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola. Now the Minister for Power, Work and Housing at the federal level. Though this is yet to be completed.  We are very optimistic of seeing such projects spreading across the country.

This is the main gate of Ibadan Polytechnic. Oyo State, Nigeria. Established in 1971. With the ups and down in our educational sector, the institution among many others are still bringing out graduates. Our hope and aspiration as a nation on the the thread of ‘change’ is to see our graduands comes out of school with entrepreneurial mindset as against the present situation where almost everyone comes out with certificate in hand looking for job.
